1993 15.3hh Chestnut Saddlebred/Arabian cross Mare

Athena is a beautiful mare. She is sensitive and requires a light-touch when working on her groundwork. Although in the past she has been ridden, we think she would be best-suited as a companion horse for someone who is willing to build a bond with her. She can be strong-minded, and as a result she will require an experienced handler.


1995 Thoroughbred Gelding

Retired — calm and quiet, gets along well in a mixed field. Bay has wonderful ground manners, stands well for farrier and dentist, cribs when bored or nervous. Bayberry is available under our Foster Forever program as companion only.


1994 14hh Appaloosa Pony Gelding

Blackjack is a sweet boy who loves attention and being groomed. He is part of our blind herd and he is frequently the first one to the fence to for attention and treats.


2005 14hh Liver Chestnut Pony Mare

Blaze was born at the rescue and currently in training. She is a smart, friendly girl who loves to learn and has been a star student in our Parelli training classes. Blaze is looking for a patient, experienced handler willing to work with an approved trainer and continue with her training.


2015 15hh Appaloosa Mare 

Bonnie is an owner surrender due to her blindness, she is sound and gets along well in her mixed field of blinds. She has not been started under saddle and has the energy to match her age. She is not difficult to handle but need quiet, calm reassurance with someone who is confident. We have reason to believe that she could be an amazing riding partner with the right person. Up-to-date on all vaccinations and clean coggins 8/2019.

2001 Quarter Horse Mare

Charlotte has some fear and trust issues, but seeks attention cautiously. She is blind in one eye due to uveitis. Due to her issues she is a permanent resident with us.


2006 16hh Thoroughbred Gelding

Dolce has returned to us through no fault of his own and is hoping to find a forever family. He’s now ready to try to find that one person that will make a forever commitment to him. Gets along in a mixed field, is a farm favorite due to his lovable personality and charm. If you are looking for a beautiful companion or pasture pet, he’s the guy for you! Dolce is companion only due to signs of arthritis in his left hind. It is possible that he may be suitable for walking.


Halo is a mare who is a member of our blind herd that lives permanently at the rescue.


1998 Paint Mare

Legacy was an owner surrender from a sanctuary in Florida where she was suffering from COPD and needed a less humid envionment. She is doing well with us and is currently not in need of any medication. She does require soaked hay. She is a bit shy but does love a good scratch. She gets along well in a mixed herd. Legacy is available under our tax deductible Foster Forever program as a companion only.


1992 14.1hh Welsh Pony 

Parker who is a gentle boy who is unrideable due to an old stifle injury. He is sweet boy who loves attention, is great for the farrier, and is a gentleman on the ground. He loves getting attention and is great for grooming. Parker is a wonderful pony and will make a great companion!

Quantico Hero

2003 Retired TB Gelding

Hero is a handsome boy that loves attention. Hero had some success on the track but is now happy to be a beautiful lawn ornament. Stands well for farrier and sheath cleaning, gets along great in a mixed herd and is often seen with his equally handsome brother Joe. Hero is available under our tax deductible Foster Forever program as a companion only.

Quantico Joe

2001 Retired TB Gelding

Joe, like his brother Hero, had some track time and is also happy to be a beautiful lawn ornament. He does have a touch of arthritis, but is currently not under any treatment. Joe forgets that hes 17.1hh and mostly thinks he’s a lap dog. He is super friendly and loves attention. He is usually the first at the fence to greet visitors and can smell a treat from an acre away. Joe is a jokester and is often seen goofing around with/annoying his field mates. Joe is available under our tax deductible Foster Forever program as a companion only.

2001 TB Mare – Retired

This beautiful girl is quiet, sweet and an easy keeper. She does well in a mixed herd and loves a good scratch. She is sensitive so requires an easy hand and calm voice. QuickSmile would love to have her own human to love on her every single day. QS is available under our tax deductible Foster Forever program as a companion only.

Shadow came to us in 2009 after being an Amish buggy horse and is completely blind. Although he is a bit shy, he loves attention and enjoys a nice quiet grooming session.


Socks is an adorable 6 year old 15hh grade gelding with a wonderfully curious personality. While initially cautious, he has adapted quickly to new skills. Socks has been worked with in tack from the ground but has not yet had a rider on him. Socks needs an experienced, gentle, handler who is willing to develop his confidence.
Socks came to us last year from a confiscation situation. He came to us frightened, nervous and untrusting, but is now always the first one at the fence to greet us. He is an easy keeper, gets along in a mixed herd, He’s currently best suited for a small-med sized rider until he develops a bit more, he’s rather narrow in his build.

Splash is a very sweet senior that LOVES attention. He gets along well in a mixed field, is quiet and even tempered. He requires 2 meals a day and meds for Cushing’s. This beautiful senior is available under our tax-deductible CHAPS program. Up-to-date on vaccinations and clean coggins 09/2019.



1999 15.0hh Appaloosa Gelding

Taz is not available for adoption and will remain a permanent resident, but he could use several sponsors that would like to come out and get to know him and give him some love.



Zenith was rescued from a starvation/neglect case out of state. He is a big boy, kind and loving. He is completely blind and missing his right eye. He is a bit nervous due to the blindness, but he LOVES people. He is a very easy keeper and has great ground manners. Did we mention how absolutely stunning and beautiful he is?!

Zenith is need of a sponsor until he finds his forever home.
